Myself,Shrutika and Kiran we are the 3 co-ordinaors of the Healthy cities Wealthy cities project. we work in Kaulabandar. Shrutika and Kiran were done one pilot project in kaulabandar through the PUKAR’s Youth and Governance project .during that time they realized K.B community have so many problems regarding Health. So we decided do some thing for that community.
We started our work in July2008. Anita our pukar executive director always appreciates our work. we created one Questionnaire, We made our barefoot researcher team for work. Each co-ordinator has 4 researchers. Also we made one team of researcher in Kalabandar itself.
In Kaulabandar there are total 25 lanes and within those 25 lanes there is total 2440 house hold. We divided community into 3 horizontal parts. In my part there are 9 lanes. Kiran’s has 9 lanes and Shrutika’s part made up of 7 lanes. We gave code for each lane i.e. T1, T2, T3………, T9 and
K1, K2, K3……….. ,K9 and S1,S2,S3…………,S7 (T = Tejal’s lane ,K= Kiran’s lane S= Shrutika’s lane) In my part there are total 655 houses, in kiran’s part there are total 917 houses and in shrutika’s part has 868 houses. Out of 2440 houses we collected data from 1000 house holds.
